The IoTextra Octal2 module is digital I/O module containing four digital input and four digital output channels (eight channels).
The maximum level of the digital input signal is up to 36 VDC.
Digital output signals are generated by NPN transistors. Transistor parameters: collector current 8A (peak up to 16A), voltage up to 100VDC, power dissipation 20W.
All channels have individual galvanic insulation with an electrical insulation strength of 3750Vrms.
There is an indication of the status of digital channels.
There are two modes for using the IoTextra Octal2 module:
· GPIO. In this mode, reading the state of input signals and controlling output signals is carried out using signals AP0-AP7 in the HOST-P connector.
· I2C. In this mode, reading the state of input signals and controlling output signals is carried out on the serial I2C bus using an I/O expander (TCA9534 or compatible). Up to 16 modules can be connected to one I2C bus.
It is also possible to use AP0-AP7 signals in the HOST-P connector for some channels, and signals from the I/O expander for the rest.
Compatible with Raspberry Pi, Raspberry PICO, Arduino Nano, Nucleo, Adafruit, Teensy, SeeedStudio XIAO and more.
Module size - 47 x 56 mm. The module has mounting holes for installation in the base module or Raspberry Pi.
