The IoTsmart XIAO integrates XIAO slot for Seeed Studio XIAO or Adafruit QT Py modules and can be used to control IoTextra series mezzanines, such as digital (IoTextra Input, IoTextra Relay2, IoTextra SSR Small, IoTextra Octal2) or analog (IoTextra Analog, IoTextra Analog2) mezzanines.
The HOST connector in the module is 12-pin: I2C (SDA and SLC), 8 GPIO contacts and two power contacts (+5V and GND). There are two options for installing the HOST connector - on its top and bottom side. When using IoTsmart XIAO with the HOST connector located on the top side, it is installed vertically in the IoTextra series mezzanine, and when using the module version with the HOST connector located on the bottom side, it is installed horizontally in the IoTextra series mezzanine.
To improve configurability and user data storage, the IoTsmart XIAO module includes an 8Kbit EEPROM (1024x8 bit, M24C08 or compatible).
To use the I2C interface, the module is equipped with Qwiic© connectors for seamless communication with other modules through the I2C bus. This connector supports integration of external devices and sensors with pull-up resistors for I2C (enabled by default).
In addition, the IoTsmart XIAO module can be equipped with an additional UART connector.
The input power for the IoTsmart XIAO module is non-isolated, +5VDC. This power can be supplied via JST connector.
