IoTsmart XIAO is a core component of our modular ecosystem (learn more on our Philosophy page). Engineered for seamless compatibility with the  loTextra series, this module features deep native integration with the IoTflow platform, allowing you to build and deploy custom Node-RED nodes with ease.

Key Features & Unmatched Flexibility

• Universal Controller Support: Compatible with a wide range of MCU modules, including the Seeed Studio XIAO (ESP32-S3, ESP32-C6, RP2350, nRF52840, etc.) and Adafruit QT Py (RP2040, SAMD21, ESP32-C3, etc.). Choose your favorite ecosystem—Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Matter, or Zigbee.
• Dedicated Data Persistence: Features an onboard EEPROM (8 Kbit) for secure storage of configuration settings and user data, accessible via I²C (addresses 0x54-0x57).
  

Superior Connectivity & Integration

The IoTsmart XIAO offers two specific mounting orientations to fit your mechanical design requirements:

• 12-pin HOST Connector: Provides I²C communication, +5V/GND power, and GPIO access. Available in two versions:
  o    H-HOST (Horizontal): Connector mounted on the top-side for vertical mezzanine installation.
  o    V-HOST (Vertical): Connector mounted on the bottom-side for horizontal mezzanine installation.
  
• Qwiic® Connectivity: Effortlessly daisy-chain external sensors and peripherals via the standard Qwiic connector (I²C).
• Optional UART: Supports serial communication via a dedicated connector for expanded peripheral control.
