Part of the IoTextra series · compatible with IoTsmart and IoTbase · Open Hardware
The IoTextra MOSFET2 provides eight independent N-channel MOSFET switch channels organized into two isolated 4-channel groups. Each group has its own dedicated isolated DC-DC converter and 4-channel optocoupler. Designed for high-speed, high-current DC load switching with full galvanic isolation — ideal for PWM motor control, solenoid valves, LED dimming, and industrial automation.
Hardware Synergy: The module is compatible with both IoTsmart and IoTbase series.
Software Power: This hardware compatibility unlocks the full potential of the IoTflow platform, with native support for Tasmota as well. It enables you to:
- Create custom Node-RED nodes effortlessly.
- Run Tasmota firmware for reliable MQTT-based telemetry and channel state reporting.
- Integrate via MQTT with third-party global platforms like Blynk.
- Scale your project from a single node to a complex industrial network.

Operation Modes
🔌 Standalone
MOSFET control is available through the HOST connector, or via the I²C bus using the onboard I/O expander.
🧠 Smart
An IoTsmart module is inserted vertically into the HOST connector. MOSFET control and the 5V module supply are provided through HOST, powered from the IoTsmart module.
🏗 Mezzanine
The module is installed into an IoTbase carrier board. MOSFET control and the 5V module supply are provided through HOST.
Applications
🏭 Industrial Automation (Drive and Valve Control)
High-speed PWM control for DC motor speed and heating element intensity; solenoid valve dosing with zero mechanical wear.
🔔 IIoT (Status Indication and Alerting)
8 channels drive extensive LED panel networks, high-power sounders, and signal towers. Low RDS(on) keeps heat minimal in enclosed cabinets.
🌱 Smart Farming (Greenhouse and Irrigation Automation)
High-power LED grow lights with smooth sunrise/sunset dimming; micro-drip irrigation pumps at up to 90V DC.
🏠 Smart Home (Ambient Lighting and Access Control)
Multi-channel high-power RGBW strip dimming and electromagnetic lock control — completely silent, no relay click.
