The IoTsmart RP2040 integrates the Waverhare RP2040-Tiny module and can be used to control IoTextra series mezzanines, such as digital (IoTextra Input, IoTextra Relay2, IoTextra SSR Small, IoTextra Octal2) or analog (IoTextra Analog, IoTextra Analog2) mezzanines.
The HOST connector in the module is 12-pin: I2C (SDA and SLC), 8 GPIO contacts and two power contacts (+5V and GND). There are two options for installing the HOST connector - on its top and bottom side. When using IoTsmart RP2040 with the HOST connector located on the top side, it is installed vertically in the IoTextra series mezzanine, and when using the module version with the HOST connector located on the bottom side, it is installed horizontally in the IoTextra series mezzanine.
The IoTsmart RP2040 module can be equipped with an additional 10-pin AUX connector (power and additional 8 GPIOs).
To improve configurability and user data storage, the IoTsmart RP2040 module includes an 8Kbit EEPROM (1024x8 bit, M24C08 or compatible).
To use the I2C interface, the module is equipped with Qwiic© connectors for seamless communication with other modules through the I2C bus. This connector supports integration of external devices and sensors with pull-up resistors for I2C (enabled by default).
In addition, the IoTsmart RP2040 module can be equipped with an additional UART connector.
The input power for the IoTsmart RP2040 module is non-isolated, +5VDC. This power can be supplied via JST connector.
For debugging, a Tiny Adaptor Board with Cable must be used (not included, must be purchased separately).
