Operation Modes
🔌 Standalone
Input states and output control are available through the HOST-P10/P12 connector, or via the I²C bus using the onboard I/O expander.
🧠 Smart
An IoTsmart module is inserted vertically into HOST-P12. I/O control and the 5V module supply are both provided through HOST-P12, powered from the IoTsmart module.
🏗 Mezzanine
The module is installed into an IoTbase carrier board. I/O control and the 5V module supply are provided through HOST-P12.
Applications
🏭
Industrial Automation (PLC / Data Acquisition)
Digital inputs read limit switches, proximity sensors, and process interlocks; transistor outputs drive pilot lamps, small solenoids, and contactor coils.
🔔
IIoT (Machine Status Monitoring)
Digital inputs monitor e-stops, door switches, and machine status contacts; transistor outputs drive local status panels and indicator lamps.
🤖
Robotics & Lab Automation
Inputs read encoder pulses, limit switches, and test-rig trigger signals; outputs drive small motor drivers, solenoids, and valves in automated test benches.
🏠
Smart Home
Inputs connect to door/window contacts and motion sensors; transistor outputs drive buzzers, LED indicators, and low-voltage actuators.
